The Right Choice

A French-Australian co-production
Drama, 120 minutes

Producer : Andrew Arbuthnot, LaLa Pictures

Writers : Laurent Auclair & Andrew Arbuthnot

The Right Choice is a drama targeted at the 26+ age group, especially a female audience. It is a choice-driven plot similar to The Hours and Last Days of Chez Nous and will be filmed in a dramatic style similar to that of Almodovar. Sam Paris, a single mother with a 17-year-old son, finds out she's fallen pregnant to her new lover, a young French backpacker. She decides to terminate the pregnancy but Sam's mother is a well-known Pro Life Movement leader and no clinic will accept Sam for the procedure. Sam is forced to tell her lover and believes he supports her choice; whatever it is, however he leads her on with a string of lies and broken promises and a court case until Sam's choice becomes a race against time to terminate the pregnancy.
Sam will have to fight for her right, and for her choice.
